Guilherme Shinohara has been a staff member at the Brazilian National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels – ANP for over 15 years. ANP is the federal government agency responsible for regulating the oil, natural gas and biofuels industries in Brazil.

During this time, he has contributed to several initiatives such as the implementation of strategic planning, regulatory quality processes and different information and data management practices.

More recently (2020-2022), he led the software development team at the IT department, responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the several systems that support ANP´s daily work, as well as the development of business intelligence projects and solutions for receiving and processing data from all the regulated sectors.

Currently, he serves as the Digital Governance Coordinator with the mission to successfully implement a data governance framework in the agency.
