Loshani Sigwadi

Loshani Sigwadi is an Institutional Data & Analytics Lead at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria, where he leads cross-functional analytics initiatives that support academic programmes, admissions, executive education, and institutional performance management.

His work focuses on enabling organisations to move from reporting data to operating through evidence-based decision-making. He coordinates analytics activities across business and academic units, mentors analytics staff, and works with leadership to embed data governance, performance measurement, and decision intelligence into operational processes. His projects include student lifecycle analytics, CRM analytics, and AI-assisted operational workflows designed to improve efficiency and accountability.

In addition to his professional role, he serves as a Sessional Lecturer and Head Learning Facilitator, supporting postgraduate and executive students in applied analytics and data-driven decision-making. His academic and professional interests centre on how analytics and artificial intelligence can strengthen institutional effectiveness and expand financial inclusion.

Loshani holds a Magister Commercii (MCom) in Information Systems and is currently a PhD Candidate in Financial and Business Analytics. His research explores AI-augmented credit risk assessment, fraud prevention, and digital decision systems, particularly within emerging markets and underserved communities.

He is currently enrolled in the Certified Chief Data Officer (CDO) professional programme, focusing on data governance, enterprise data strategy, and organisational analytics leadership.
